Matt, a drummer born and raised in Hong Kong, began playing at 12 and performing at 14. With Rock and Punk roots, he later incorporated Pop and Hip-Hop, creating a drumming sound that blends various genres.
At 17, Matt started getting session work, prompting him to treat music seriously. From dive bars to festivals in Hong Kong, his footprint is everywhere. He has recorded and performed with well-known local artists, always striving to create hit after hit. Matt is known for his distinctive style—especially his snare and kick hits. Artists and producers praise his “massive sound” and creativity, crafting grooves uncommon in Pop.
In 2023, he moved to the U.S. to study at Berklee College of Music, aiming to broaden his musical expertise and become one of the top session drummers.
To date, Matt has recorded on over 30 records across Pop, Rock, Funk, R&B, and Metal. He has played in countless venues across the U.S., Hong Kong, and Macau, including The Palladium (Worcester), McPherson Stadium (Hong Kong), and Studio City (Macau).
